Waleed Bolad, MD

Waleed Bolad, MD joined the practice in 2012, following completion of a two-year fellowship in Clinical Rheumatology at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. He earned his medical degree from Semmelweis University in Budapest, Hungary. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore in 2009. He also spent four months at the Johns Hopkins Lupus Center taking care of patients with systemic lupus erythematosus.


He is a board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology subspecialty board. He is a specialist in rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, polymyalgia rheumatic, gout, pseudogout, osteoporosis, and other autoimmune diseases. He has a particular interest in connective tissue diseases such as lupus, scleroderma, and Sjogren’s syndrome, as well as use of Ultrasound in diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal disorders.
